Remember the purpose in sounding each syllable. The purpose of sounding A is to open and connect with space. Visualize all your obstacles as being cleared, particularly the one obstacle that gives you the greatest problem. The purpose of sounding OM is to experience and connect with the qualities arising from that space. Allow all the unceasing, spontaneously perfected qualities to arise, such as love, joy, equanimity, and compassion. In particular, experience the specific quality you most need. The purpose of sounding HUNG, RAM, and DZA is to manifest the needed quality (see the detailed instructions within the guided practice below). In a simplified version of the practice you can sound only A, OM, and HUNG, in which case HUNG will also incorporate the highly active quality of RAM and the fully activated manifestation of DZA.
